Regarding Motherfuckers (Republican Edition):
Here’s something one hopes the Obama administration has learned from the past couple of days: You need to expect that motherfuckers will fuck their mothers. It’s just what motherfuckers do. They fuck their mothers. It’s right there in the word. If you put John Boehner’s mother in front of him, he will fuck her. Because he is a motherfucker. It’s what he knows. It’s what all Republicans know. It’s their nature. You can’t just think that you’ll walk into a group of ’em and say, “Aw, c’mon, stop fucking your mothers.” They won’t listen. You can appeal in any way you like – it’s wrong, it’s immoral, their mothers’ asses are bleeding. It won’t make a whit of difference. The motherfucking will continue, right in front of you. No, you just have to accept that a motherfucker will always fuck his or her mother every chance they can. That they live to fuck their mothers. To expect anything else is to be foolish. And once you accept that motherfuckers were, are, and will always be motherfuckers, you need to act accordingly. You need to treat motherfuckers like the motherfuckers they are.
We don’t know what Barack Obama actually said to Republican members of Congress in his closed-door meetings with them yesterday regarding his stimulus plan. But we do know one thing for sure: it accomplished nothing. This is the way it’s gonna go, and if you’ve paid attention at all, you know the steps: Obama will concede shit and Republicans will ask for more (even though they already got more tax cuts than anyone fucking needs), Obama will concede more shit and Republicans will ask for more (even though they’re gonna get the family planning funding taken out), Obama will concede more shit and Republicans will ask for more, and then when the vote comes, Republicans will vote against it, saying that no one listened to them and fuck that Obama for lying about bipartisanship. Yet the legislation will have passed in a watered down form from the deep infrastructure and other spending so desperately needed to, you know, create jobs, which will, you know, create taxable income, which will, you know, help actually pay for shit some day.
Obama better know a simple fact: they fucking hate him. Right now, Obama represents the fact that everything they believed was a complete failure. For making that clear to the American people, they fucking despise him. They hate his majority, they hate his coattails, they hate that all over the country people are supporting his ideas. Republicans have nothing right now, which means they have nothing to lose by trying to drag Obama into their pit of shit. They’ll smile and say it was a good conversation, but they’re waiting in the back halls of the Capitol to fuckin’ shiv Obama and laugh while he bleeds. And try to force Americans back into their crooked arms.
That’s the thing about motherfuckers. You can tell them, “Okay, you can fuck your mothers, but only for an hour a day.” They might agree, but sure as you’re reading this, the second they walk away, they will…well, by now, you know.

The Good Ol’ Republican Bait and Switch
You should read this piece by Gene Lyons over in Salon. It’s all about Republican fundraising scams — which also, it appears, is how they foment right-wing furor with their true-believer base. As any good grifter knows, every scam has a mark — the simple, unsuspecting target from whom money shall soon be parted. In this case, the Republican mark is, basically, the people of America:
The key to raising cash from small donors, according to a PowerPoint presentation given by RNC operatives Rob Bickhart and Peter Terpeluk at a retreat in Boca Grande, Fla., is to dazzle them with scare talk about “Socialism,” images of President Obama as “the Joker,” Nancy Pelosi as “Cruella de Vil” and other bright, shiny objects. The idea is to exploit “visceral” emotions, “fear” and “extreme negative feelings” toward Obama.
Unfortunately, their tactics are working. Pelosi is hated by many, including some of my friends, who know nothing about her, and, in all honesty, can’t even spell her name correctly. The President — well, you can see for yourself how reactionary and insane — should I mention racist? — the right-wing’s feelings are.
It’s a shame there aren’t any facts to back up their crazy beliefs.
I think it’s about time everyone took a good look at the Republican smear machine. To defeat the enemy — and the current GOP is not the enemy of Democrats or Liberals: it’s the enemy of all Americans who aren’t rich or industrialists — we must know them, first.
Then, we have to use their tactics against them. It’s war . . . and it’s a war they’ve started against regular people like us.
Republican Ding-Dong School is Open
This isn’t about conservatives. This is about Republicans: the elected clowns in three-piece suits who dare to wear flag pins while they turn traitor against our president and our country. This is about the spoiled little brats who lost the election and who will do and say anything to insure that President Obama fails, that we hear all their lying catcalls and, with luck, fall for their infantile nyah-nyahs and beat up on the other guy like a gang of drooling bullies.
And this is about the Republicans who follow them mindlessly. Who want to see blood spilled in our political forums like it was the Springer show. Who play follow the leader blindly, believing all the while that their belief in the American Way and God will protect them as they stomp on their own sisters and brothers in the name of low taxes, states’ rights and, the holiest of holies, freedom.
Republicans have no monopoly on God, nor on every American’s Constitutional rights. Both are as much the property of Democrats, Liberals, and the United Federation of Planets as they are of anyone else, but that won’t stop the vast right-wing conspiracy from rewriting the Bible in their own image. Nor will it stop the Republitards from trying to make end-runs around the President and kow-tow to today’s would-be Castros. Nor will it stop the racial hatred, nor the childish insults and lies, and the anti-American government hatred…a government they’re part of.
It’s all the temper-tantrum behavior of spoiled brats who can’t get what they want: the return to complete and unlimited political power.
Paul Krugman gets it absolutely right in the New York Times. He knows how the 12-year olds are trying to break into daddy’s liquor cabinet and blame the other guys at the party. Joe Conason gets it right over at Salon.com, where he says what no one else is saying about the Republican bullshit: “a cascade of slurs, threats and rhetorical violence that reanimates all of the worst themes of the bad old [Clinton] days.”
Just how bad are the catcalls, the insults, the slurs, the lies, the mocking, and the juvenile, incoherent hatred aimed at anyone who is not a Republican? Here. Read for yourself how the Democratic candidate for governor here in Virginia is being treated. Watch the video. Judge for yourself if children who behave like this should ever be given charge of our sandbox.
Frankly, the little bitches need to be spanked.
I’d like to say to the Republicans, “Shame on you.”
But I can face the facts.
They have no shame.
The jury is still out on their humanity.
No, no, it’s not about race at all…
Senator Robert Byrd (living mummy, WVA) is supposed to be a Democrat. But with views like this, is it any wonder why some people, both Democrat and Republican, just don’t like President Obama?
He’s just not in The Club…
Byrd was also opposed to Truman desegregating the military in the 1940s. In a 1944 letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo:
I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side… Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.

Uncommon Sense about the Health Care Plan
Mark Evanier, a writer and a gentleman in L.A., has a wonderful blog which he updates a few times every day. And that’s how often I go there, because he is both fun and insightful. Today he blogs about Obama’s health care plan and links to an analysis by L.A. Times writer Michael Hiltzik. I quote Mark’s blog verbatim here because I not only agree with his sentiments — and have experienced my own insurance problems first-hand — but I won’t even try to improve on perfection.
In addition, go to his blog. Have fun. Watch some videos of the amazing George Carl.
______________________
Michael Hiltzik discusses efforts to kill the “public option” proposals for health care…and he asks the musical question why some folks are so desperate to protect the mega-profits of the insurance companies. Here’s one paragraph of many worth quoting…
The firms take billions of dollars out of the U.S. healthcare wallet as profits, while imposing enormous administrative costs on doctors, hospitals, employers and patients. They’ve introduced complexity into the system at every level. Your doctor has to fight them to get approval for the treatment he or she thinks is best for you. Your hospital has to fight them for approval for every day you’re laid up. Then they have to fight them to get their bills paid, and you do too.
That has all been my experience, the experience of most friends, and a constant gripe of darn near every doctor I’ve had in the last decade. When someone asks me, “Do you really want the government coming between you and your physician?,” I have to remind them that right now, that’s the position of insurance company employees whose job description is to pounce on every possible loophole to deny coverage and payment.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the mounting public debate about Health Care Reform is going to be about things like that. Looks like it’s going to be about arguing if the bills really contain provisions for killing Grandma when her nitroglycerine tablets get too expensive.

Limbaugh says Obama made Sanford Cheat
You can’t make up wingnut stuff as crazy as this. Limbaugh, who is being paid a shitload of money to spew his right-wingnut rhetoric — whether he believes it or not — said on his radio show that Obama’s mad plan to ruin the nation sent Sanford over the edge and into the arms of his Argentine mistress. Doesn’t matter that the Gov started the affair before Obama became President — it’s still Obama’s fault.
Also Obama’s fault: ecoli, hantavirus, sunspots, forest fires, crabgrass, splinters, and alien anal probing. And he made da widdle gubaner cwy!!!
Read the story — and listen to Limbaugh’s crack pipe fantasy — here.
Obama’s Missing Birth Certificate
. . . can be viewed, by you, our elected officials, the rest of the world, and Rush Limbaugh (if he hasn’t eaten the rest of the world), right here. Obviously, it was never missing, nor has it been mysteriously concealed from our sight, nor did aliens take it when they stole JFK’s brain from the secret warehouse in Area 51.
In addition, you might want to head over to this piece at Salon if you want the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about all those lies, rumors, myths and lies (they tend to lie a lot) the far-right is spreading about the President. Anything titled “Crazy right-wing myths about Obama 2.0: The post-inauguration edition of odd things conservatives believe about Obama. Teleprompters! Hitler Youth! Satan!” is must reading.
At least for people who want the truth.
UPDATED: The Truth about the Tea Parties
On the heels of my first post today, here is an enlightening series of photos from the Washington DC “Tea Party,” which was supposed to be all about “the people” revolting against Obama’s tax policies.
Well, the people are certainly revolting.
Please observe from the photo evidence that these rallies across the country, not promoted by Fox News, have far less to do about protesting Obama’s taxes than they do about protesting Obama, the man.
Conservatives are afraid of him, because he’s a Democrat, he’s a strong man, and he’s black. They’re more afraid of him than they were either of the two Clintons.
It’s all about fear, and Obama is a symbol. They’re afraid because he stands for something, chief among them: the conservatives are not in control.
What’s the right wing going to do, eight years from now, if Obama’s policies truly work? I just don’t think they’ll say, “We got it all wrong. Our bad.”
Nope. I think they’ll be madder because they’ll be proven wrong — just look at how mad they are because they lost the election.
I think they’ll just keep trying to force their agenda for control of America down our throats. I think they’ll hide behind God and the flag and the lies of higher taxes, socialism, fascism, and anti-Americanism.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
Truth and freedom, however, are not promoted by Fox News.
UPDATE: I just found this essay about an hour after I posted my blog, and I urge you to read it. The writer comes to the same conclusions I do, but this guy is much smarter. Read it here.
Limbaugh’s Dirty Little Secret of Radio "Success"
One should respect public opinion insofar as is necessary to avoid starvation and keep out of prison, but anything that goes beyond this is voluntary submission to an unnecessary tyranny.
• Bertrand Russell
President Obama has not yet been in office 100 days, and so far — according to every conservative mouthpiece on television and radio — his every act is a crime against America.
The right wing has fired attacks on everything from Michelle wearing the same outfit more than once, to mocking the new puppy for the Obama girls. The television mouthpiece for the strident right wing, Fox News, has helped take part in organizing “tea parties” today across the country, in order to foment not just distrust of the government — frankly, I was MUCH more distrustful of the government under the Republican regimes of Nixon, Reagan, and the Bush babies — but to create ratings for their network. And a recent report that concluded that far-right extremists can be dangerous is being deliberately misconstrued by Conservatives that the Obama government will soon become Big Brother . . . I guess that’s a “Little Brother” to W’s Big Brother that was monitoring phone calls, torturing suspects . . .
Here, read “DC Tea Party Protesters Agree: ‘Chairman Maobama’ Is Leading The Country On A Path To Socialism” and “Scarborough: Obama Is ‘More Focused On Targeting Veterans’ Than Fighting Al Qaeda” if you don’t believe me. And take note of all the happy, smiling people. They’re not protesting anything — they’re ecstatic they’re finally getting their own 15 minutes of fame on tv.
Right wing radio still remains a chief culprit in the Conservative War for Control of America. Here’s a short yet insightful piece on one primary reason much of America listens to Rush Limbaugh: because there’s nothing else on . . .
Empty minds, filled with nothing more than empty-headed blather . . .
And the Right Wing Propaganda Machine keeps rolling.
The bastards are lying to us again
The Republitards want us to believe the big lie that President Obama is a socialist. He’s nowhere near that, and most of America knows it. Even the quote below, from a conservative think-tank, presents the facts and effectively denies their partisan claims. Here’s a good piece about how we, as Americans, are being played by the right-wing sore losers.
…according to Brian Reidl of the Heritage Foundation, Obama’s budget would increase government spending from 20 percent of GDP to 22 percent. Is it really possible that a society is capitalist when government spending represents 20 percent of GDP–but socialist at 22 percent?
