Maybe ten or so years ago, Maria and I met up with her family for a Sunday brunch at an Uno’s in Newport News.  I don’t love Uno’s, but they’re okay once in a while.  This visit, though, the ambiance is what made it special.  One of the cooks in the back had put a couple of blues cds in the audio system, and as soon as we sat down, this song by Tab Benoit and Jimmy Thackery came on.  I loved it so much, I asked the waitress to find out what the song was and who did it.  And here they are with “Freddie’s Combo,” calling themselves the Whiskey Store…
