Keeping our Internet Free

If you wonder what all the big deal is about Net Neutrality — or if you don’t even know what it is, but you hear all the kidz talkin’ about it — here’s a speech from Senator Al Franken that he gave last week at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.  These are smart words, and they ring with the true spirit of American freedom.  Too bad big business and their puppet politicians think that too much freedom is . . . unprofitable.

  1. Someone has to pay for distribution. Like the highway, you pay a toll OR take the slower back roads. They will get you to the same place, but maybe not as an exciting trip. The airwaves are free, but you want more than 3 stations so you PAY for distribution.
And anyone can make a film or write a book, but if no one else sees it or reads it? Like this blog, you can write anything BUT it resides on someone else server to distribute.
